Mark's Graduation

Mark graduated from the police academy on Friday, April 24th along with 32 other cadets. We are all so proud of what he has accomplished.

Waiting in line.

He's next.

Receiving his certificate.

Posing for pictures.

Mark also just informed me that he and all of the other 32 graduates passed their state exams on Sunday. Congratulations!

Lab Week 2009

Last week was Lab Week across the country where us lab rats party all week at work to celebrate our professions. This year, it was hosted by Cynthia and Linda and they went above and beyond on the gifts that were provided for games and drawings. Below is the gift that I won for coming up with the most words formed from "Calgon Take Me Away."

I formed 237 words before I quit. Now, I have no reason to stink for quite sometime.

This is a picture of a quilt that Cynthia made of all of us in the lab.

Last Night's Dream

I had a dream that Brian and I were going to Sam's Club. When we go there, it was "Naked Day" and there were a bunch of old men and one thirty-something year old woman walking around shopping without any clothes on. Don't know what that one is supposed to mean but it sure did make me giggle when I woke up this morning.

Easy Button

For those times when life gets tough, hit the Easy Button and all your troubles will disappear. Ok, not really, but it would be nice if it were that easy.

Easter Sunday

I took some pictures of Mark's boys while they were here yesterday. They sure did have fun Easter egg hunting! Here's just a few.

I also realized that we have a lot of baby-proofing to do when we are blessed to have a minion of our own. Peyton threw a ball while in the house which hit one of Brian's ceramic eagles and broke the foot off. Luckily, superglue saved the day.

Flowerbed

We decided to make a second attempt of planting flowers in the backyard. We tried a few years ago but then got Zeke two weeks later. He chewed them all up being the typical puppy that he was and then we got Violet the next year so we didn't even bother. They are both a little older now and not so much into the chewing phase except on each other. I had a little talk with them and told them not to chew Momma's flowers or they were going to be in big trouble. Violet did end up pulling up one of the petunias the next day but it was the bulb and all so it was saved and replanted. I had another talk with the pups and I think the message was clear that time as they have not messed with them since. Hopefully, they will continue to be good little pups.

Again?

Well, I woke up this morning and have lost my voice again. Great, just in time for Easter dinner that I am hosting at my house tomorrow.
