Brian's Grandfather
Around Thanksgiving, we noticed that Brian's granfather had been losing a lot of weight. The Monday after, his grandmother took him to the hospital where they later found out that he had several tumors (brain, esophagus, and kidneys). They scheduled him for 9 rounds of radiation to shrink them although they were told that it would just shrink them and may extend his life but would not cure it. He only completed 4 rounds because it was making him so sick. A couple weeks ago, hospice was called in because Brian's granny could not lift him. He kept falling because he was so weak and would not/could not eat. We went to visit him last Sunday after I got off of work. He was asleep until the last few minutes before we left. That was the only thing he could do to make the pain go away. He barely knew where he was at or what time of day it was. We knew then that it wouldn't be long. We got the call yesterday morning at 9:35. Pepa had passed away at 6:50 am. Visitation will be at Nail and Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield, TX on Tuesday from noon to 1:30 and a graveside service will follow at 2pm. Please keep them in your prayers.
